GRC Website Sure most people have heard of SpinRite? disk recovery and Steve Gibson's GRC web site. Couple of useful web-based utilities here including SheildsUp? to test which ports your router/PC has open to the internet http://www.grc.com/default.htm and Perfect Passwords https://www.grc.com/passwords.htm for generating very secure keys for wireless WPA.
Security Updates http://www.h-online.com/security/Offline-Update--/features/112953 Handy to be able to build an update CD/DVD for all windows/office patches to build into new machines and not rely on lengthy internet download times. The offline update tool will automatically build an ISO file for office and windows based on your requirements. I was a little worried about relying on a third party tool to obtain these kind of updates etc but the VBScripts?/BAT scripts are visible to dig into if necessary.
Third Party Software Updates Identifying your windows updates is reasonably well documented through the use of the windows update tool and website. Ensuring you have the most up to date third party software is always difficult to keep on top of. There is an online scanning tool from Secunia which will identify a number of common programs on your machine and identify updates needed/security risks etc http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/online/
RunScanner? http://www.runscanner.net/ From the author of LanSweeper? that I mentioned in my first e-mail (not sure if Steve has had a chance to look at it). This utility can extract the running process names on your PC and can be used to highlight possible malware or processes that are worthy of further investigation. Similar to autoruns by sysinternals.

Keith,
Try disabling the Power Management in the driver for the wireless card. Uncheck the “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.” I have seen similar problems solved by doing that. Also check in the BIOS for the power management there too.
Rich,
You are not alone with being annoyed by end users. At my previous job as a field tech, I would run into that a ton. It would especially annoy me when the network would be down and I would be scrambling to fix it and users would be talking to me about the best computer for their house or how they built their friend a PC. Furthermore, it annoyed me when they would follow me around asking tons of questions about what I was doing.
I have a topic suggestion for the show. What is the favorite part of your jobs? What is something that you do where you think, ‘this is awesome.’

I had strange problems with my laptops and Apple AirPort? Extreme AP. It worked fine about ~20-30 minutes and then whole wireless network just disappeared. I tried upgrade and downgrade firmware of that AP that nothing worked. Then I get tired of fighting with it and put it on the shelf for waiting better days… After week or two I put that AP back online and it has worked perfectly now for couple of months. Still don’t know what happened and what was wrong :-)
[KEITH]Update on neighbors laptop; It's working fine since removing all the other networks from the list. Further update; My direct neighbor was outside and hit me up with the same problem. So, I did the same and it didn't work. She then called Verizon and they rebooted the router and "boosted the signal" (her exact words). It's now working but she was worried she would affect other neighbors. Great idea on the power mgmt feature. It is usually on by default when you install a new adapter. I always turn it off. I didn't in this case, but I should have checked it.

RE: Resume Review.
I really like what you are doing with the Resume reviews. I have read thousands of resumes over the years and a good resume will get you into the door. Here a few things that bother me to no end. 1. I don’t care how fast you can type 2. I don’t care what High School you attended 3. I don’t have time to read your Novel… use bullet points 4. Don’t lie, I will find out in the Interview 5. I never read the 2nd page of a Resume.
